Consortium event at X-Gen Congress in San Diego March 21

The Genome in a Bottle Consortium will host a morning session on March 21 co-located with the X-Gen Congress in San Diego (http://www.xgencongress.com/ under "Co-located Events"). We plan to have presentations about the Consortium work plan and updates from representatives of each of the working groups, followed by an open discussion. This session is planned for 8:30am to noon on March 21, 2013 at the Hilton San Diego Resort, and we welcome anyone interested to participate. There will be no registration fee for this session.

NIST began the call with an update on the current status of the NIST IRB process for genomes to be distributed as NIST Reference Materials.
